FAQ

A few things you might be wondering.

Most of my work is with nonprofits and charities, but I also work with other mission‑driven organizations, like social enterprises and community groups.

It depends on the format and scope. I know most mission‑driven organizations work within tight budgets, so I build in flexibility wherever I can. That might mean phasing the work, adjusting the scope, or suggesting parts your staff can take on themselves, especially if it’s a skill worth building. After our intro call, I’ll send a proposal with the full cost, so there are no surprises.

Both. Fractional and project support are hands‑on, from planning through writing, content, and campaigns. Advisory support focuses on helping your team do the work themselves. When a project needs highly technical work, like custom website development, data dashboards, or production‑quality video, I bring in trusted specialists I’ve vetted. I manage their work and take responsibility for it, so you still have one point of contact.

Yes. Many organizations start with an advisory session or a short project, then build from there if it’s a good fit.

Projects and advisory support can often start quickly, sometimes right away. Fractional support needs a bit more notice, since I take on a limited number of fractional clients at a time. If you’re working with a deadline, let me know and we’ll see what we can make work.

Yes. Most of my work can be done remotely, so I can work with organizations across Canada. I’m also available in person in Ontario and Calgary.

That’s completely normal, and it’s what the intro call is for. We’ll talk through what’s going on, and I’ll recommend the kind of support that makes the most sense, even if that’s something small.

LET’S TALK

Tell me what you’re working on.

Whether you have a project in mind or just a sense that something could be working better, a quick conversation is a good first step. Share what’s on your plate, and we’ll figure out what would help most.
